Thirty years of building homes, with the same close involvement on every project.

Klein Constructions has operated as a registered builder since 1997, working across Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula and the Bellarine Peninsula. In that time we have delivered high-end new homes, townhouse developments, second-storey additions, and renovations and extensions.

We believe clear communication is what turns a set of drawings into the home the owner has in mind. We work closely with both the architect and the client, through regular site meetings and direct contact, so decisions are made early and the design intent is carried through to the finished build.

Our subcontractors have worked with Klein Constructions for many years. They understand how we operate and the standard of work we expect, which is how we deliver consistent quality, on time and on budget.

From first meeting to handover

Every build follows the same four stages, so you always know where things stand.

Initial meeting

We review your drawings, site and budget, and talk through how we would approach the build.

Pricing & contract

A detailed, itemised quote, followed by a standard domestic building contract once you are ready to proceed.

Construction

Site set-up through to lock-up and fit-out, with regular site meetings and progress updates throughout.

Handover

Final inspections, occupancy permit and a walkthrough of your home, followed by the maintenance period.

When should we engage a builder?

The earlier the better. Getting us involved during design lets us review the drawings for cost and constructability before they are finalised. Working alongside you and your architect at this stage, we can suggest materials, details and construction methods that achieve the intended design within budget.

What size of project do you take on?

We focus on high-end residential work, from new homes and townhouse developments to major renovations and extensions. We take on a limited number of projects at a time so each one gets the attention it deserves.

Which areas do you build in?

We build across metropolitan Melbourne, as well as the Mornington Peninsula and the Bellarine Peninsula, with recent projects completed in Brighton, Sandringham, Middle Park and Hawthorn.

Who will we deal with during the build?

Paul Klein is involved in every project, with regular site meetings and a direct line for questions. You will always know who is responsible for your build and where it is up to.
